Beacon Hill Park

Just across the street from South Park School is Beacon Hill Park, a favorite weekend walk of Victorians of all species, including this Mallard duck. His mate was nearby but was much too coy to allow a photograph. This, I promise, will be the last cherry tree in bloom you will see until next spring.

Last one or not, it is a beauty! Brilliant backlighting, good color balance and great composition. Thanks for sharing.

Hey, happy to find Victoria represented in this CDPB community. It's always fun to see familiar places through someone else's eyes. Your comment on MB's Small City Scenes blog today brought me here. Victoria is one of my favorite overseas towns to visit. I'll be coming next month for the Garden City scooter rally, so please keep those flowers blooming -:)

Amazing pictures, I love the blossoms in the first picture and the second shot is just beautiful, love the detail and the reflection in the water.
